Your "Spring Forward" Sanity-Saving Tips Are Here
Somehow, some way, Daylight Savings Time is upon us and it's already time to turn our clocks forward in anticipation of long, sunshine-y afternoons, casual evening strolls, and warm summer breezes. But in the meantime, the mornings might feel a little extra-cold, and definitely extra-dark. But fear not! With the help of your Hatch products, and our handy time change survival chart, you'll be on your way to brighter days in no time.
When we Spring Forward, everything feels like it's pushed forward, including, for many of us, the time when we have to drag ourselves out of bed. 6 a.m. becomes 7 a.m. overnight, much to our chagrin. So to prep yourself (and your littles who are waking at an hour that works for you), start by adjusting your schedules in anticipation of what's to come. We like moving things gradually, in 15 minute increments each day in the run up to Sunday, to give the body time to adjust to the new schedule. Try getting to bed a little earlier each night, and moving your sunrise alarm on your Hatch Restore slightly earlier each morning.
Have littles who are currently waking up earlier than you'd like? In this case, do nothing! Just hang tight — come Sunday, they'll be "sleeping in" an hour later, without you having to do any work at all.
